A driver and a mid-iron for the green, with a narrow entrance between two hills with bunkers to the right and behind a cup-shaped green.
PAR: 5
S.I: 6
This is the longest hole in the field, a par 5, which truly makes the mountain characteristics of the course stand out.
After the starting stroke over a valley, including a water course, we arrive at the top of the hill.
The second stroke is played either short or going over a slight natural slope where three bunkers are located, providing a magnificent view over the Serra do Caramulo.
The third stroke is a short iron or a pitch for a figure 8-shaped green with a Punchbowl in the back.
PAR: 3
S.I: 12
This hole is one of the shortest, 187 m long on the competition route, a green on a small hill.
A short hole for a high green, entering onto a hill and going gradually down towards the right with a large bunker to the front right and another to the back left.
PAR: 4
S.I: 16
With a maximum stretch of 295 m, par 4, this hole mainly stands out due to a slope along the route.
A drive & pitch hole which allows for risking a blind drive over the hill or playing wisely over the hilltop, and afterwards playing a longer approach to a green well protected by bunkers.
PAR: 4
S.I: 4
This is the longest par 4 hole on the course.
As this is the longest par 4 hole of the course, it has two bunkers on the right at a driving distance followed by a long stroke with bunkers in front and on the sides of the green, slightly leaning forward, towards an oak grove right behind the green.
PAR: 4
S.I: 2
A different kind of par 4 where trees and water ponds stand out.
A drive over a lake and a mid-iron for a bunker-free green, but surrounded by trees and a creek, dividing the fairway before the green.
PAR: 5
S.I: 8
This is one of the longest holes, 493 m in length, par 5, highlighted by a creek.
A long hole, played through a valley, with a creek that should be crossed by a second stroke. The creek runs through most of the hole on the left side of the route, alongside the green.
PAR: 3
S.I: 18
This is a Par 3, 192 metres long, between a slope and a green area, which protects the maintenance building and the driving range.
A short hole, for a favourable but sliding green, slightly higher than the tee, guarded by two deep bunkers in the front and a creek on the left.
PAR: 4
S.I: 10
A 290-meter hole, par 4, very important for being the end of the route, most notable for the dogleg and the slope made even more difficult by the bunkers surrounding the green, which is near the highest area of the course and near the club house.
This is a short hole requiring a precise tee stroke, followed by a pitch to a higher green well guarded by bunkers.
PAR: 5
S.I: 13
Its location on the highest point of the course allows for a view over the entire course and the surrounding landscape, which renders it unique.
A short par 5 with a long fairway for the drive, but requiring a very precise 2nd stroke, followed by a pitch for the small green with a step.
PAR: 4
S.I: 7
337 m in one of the highest areas of the course, par 4, located alongside a small slope and with uniquely pleasant surroundings.
A drive and a mid-iron for a green guarded by two deep bunkers.
A long iron for teeing off may place the player in a better position.
Although this hole is surrounded by the Serra da Estrela, it has a magnificent view over the Serra do Caramulo.
PAR: 3
S.I: 17
At 175 meters this par 3 stands out on this mountain golf course, and we might even say that it represents the soul of the course, because of its physical characteristics and of the unique surrounding landscape.
Likely the most remarkable hole in the course.
A long par 3 descending around thirty metres from the tee onto a green with a bunker on the left and a lake behind.
PAR: 4
S.I: 5
A hole of 378 meters that is a par 4 with special difficulties created by the landscape.
A dogleg requiring a drive and a long- or mid-iron, to a green located between and behind to small pine-covered slopes.
The bunkers ahead create an optical illusion and the bunker on the right is perhaps one of the deepest in Europe.
PAR: 4
S.I: 11
A Par 4 with a length of 380 metres.
A medium-length par 4 with an area of natural vegetation to be passed on the second stroke to a raised green with bunkers on the left.
PAR: 4
S.I: 9
A hole of 386 meters, a par 4 with a design of special difficulty owing to the strong dogleg found there.
As this is a long hole with a very accentuated dogleg where the drive is important as well as the second stroke with a long iron, which has to be well directed between right and left bunkers.
PAR: 4
S.I: 1
With length of 402 metres, this par 4 is one of the most important of the course, including a system of lakes in successive waterfalls.
A long and descending par 4 which is a real test.
The second stroke has to be played over a lake, avoiding a large pine-covered slope to the left towards a green enclosed in a valley.
PAR: 3
S.I: 15
A hole of only 161 meters, the shortest of the course, this is an amazing par 3 starting from an integrated tee raised on a slope and supported by a stonewall brought from this region. Besides that, it has some natural obstacles created by vegetation and trees plans.
PAR: 5
S.I: 3
A 496-metre hole, which is the longest of this second route and the second largest on the entire course, this is a par 5, a dogleg which ends in a natural amphitheatre near the clubhouse.
A long and ascending hole, requiring an accurate drive and a second stroke for a turning point. The third stroke is played towards a two-tiered green guarded by bunkers.
This green is surrounded on three sides by an amphitheatre-shaped hill, with the club on the back and a view over the Serra da Estrela.
PAR: 5
S.I: 10
A hole with a dogleg to the left. The drive should be placed to the left of the bunker, located on the fairway’s left side.
DeveThe stroke requires a good deal of precision due to the out-of-bounds on both sides of the fairway.
Make a second stroke with a 3/5 wood, and afterwards an approach to the green, difficult because of its undulation.
To the right side of the fairway, after the dogleg, is also out-of-bounds.
PAR: 3
S.I: 16
A relatively short hole with two bunkers, one in the front and another on the left side of the green. This is a hard hole for an average player.
In the event of missing, it is better to be on the right because of the out-of-bounds on the left side.
Play a medium iron.
PAR: 5
S.I: 8
This hole is a not too difficult, with a wide fairway rising slightly upwards and a slight dogleg to the right about 100m from the green.
Aim the drive towards the middle of the fairway and play a medium iron and a pitch to the green.
PAR: 3
S.I: 12
An easy hole, the shortest of the course, all downwards, guarded by two bunkers in front of the green. Play a short iron.
PAR: 4
S.I: 6
A hole with a dogleg on the right, with a high green well protected by two front bunkers.
Aim slightly to the right of the fairway and play a medium /short iron to the green.
PAR: 5
S.I: 2
A hole with a narrow fairway, not too long and with a slight dogleg to the right. It has three bunkers, one behind the green and the other two in front, to the right side.
Aim the drive slightly to the right, as the land goes slightly downwards to the left, wood 3/5 and approach the green.
Be careful with the stroke to the green as behind it, there is a lake.
PAR: 3
S.I: 4
This is a difficult hole, due to the lake before the green, which is also difficult.
Play a long iron.
PAR: 4
S.I: 14
A straight hole, rising upwards slightly, with a high green guarded by two front bunkers, one on each side of the green.
Play a drive to the middle of the fairway, as it has two bunkers, one on each side and an approach to the green.
